On occasion a fastening situation will arise when a contractor requires both security and removability. On one hand the fixture being fastened must not be tampered with. But at some point in the future, accessibility by authorized personnel will be necessary. Trident® Nuts are the perfect choice. Trident® Nuts feature a unique conical design that prevents unauthorized removal and the nut has three indented slots which allow removal with the proper tooling. Trident® Nuts are manufactured from Zamak 5 Zinc Alloy which provides for enhanced corrosion resistance. Trident® Nuts are tapped to standard bolt dimensions, but can be tapped oversize to accept hot dip galvanized fasteners. They can also be plated or color dyed for a variety of applications. Beginning in March 2007 Tanner will stock Trident® Nuts in stainless steel.
